Who am I? I’m Karen Kay, and I am a certified Fairyologist and Realm Reader. I am the Editor in Chief of FAE Magazine (Faeries and Enchantment). I am also the founder of the 3 Wishes Fairy Festival, the UK’s first and only major faerie festival with overnight camping, live music stages and faerie entertainment, a magical wonderland of enchantment! I also founded the first UK Faery Balls established in 2006. I am currently writing a book and working on a Fairy oracle card deck.

Faeries are very dear to me, as I see them as earth angels and guardian of our beautiful planet earth!  I create events that convey a sense of the magic that awaits when you connect with the beautiful energy of the faerie realms. I am related to the poet Walter de la Mare, who is known for his fairy poetry.

I have organised events since 1994 and founded Love & Light Events, the divine platform for all my events, past, present, and future – including; Earth, Health & Mystic Fayres (Est. 1994), The Angel Conference (a one-off event in 1999), Faery, Angel & Healing Fayre (Est. 2003),  The Green Man Midsummer Festival in Birmingham (a one-off event in 2005), The Faery Ball (Est 2006) and the 3 Wishes Faery Fest (Est 2007). I launched the Glastonbury Avalon Faery Ball and Avalon Faery Fayre in 2009, and I am also the founder of London’s first Faery Ball – The Urban Faery Ball . You may have noticed I LOVE faeries, angels, unicorns, mermaids, and all things mystical!

My journalistic experience and a Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism has proved to be invaluable regarding my current and very exciting role as Editor in Chief for FAE Magazine (Faeries and Enchantment).

Fairy Fever article from The Guardian

If you’ve not had dealings with fairies since your milk teeth dropped out, now might be a good moment to get reacquainted. The Little People are hitting the big time, and these days the elfin industry is worth far more than 10p under the pillow! Pixie gear is everywhere, from websites selling custom-made wings and personal “fairy card” readings to Visit, Britain’s recently published guide to the UK’s most sprite-infested sites. There’s even a three-day festival dedicated to the fluttery folk: 3 Wishes Fairy Festival held in Cornwall UK and promises unicorn rides, wing and wand workshops, and general “magic and enchantment”.

Organiser Karen Kay attributes the rise of “fairy fever” to the growth of the green movement: “Fairies promote respect for nature and help us connect with the earth – many people are drawn to this. The majority of the festival-goers believe in their existence.”

If you’d have told me back then that I would become the person I am today I would have never believed it! Here’s a little bit about my past!

Three authors who have deeply affected my life and helped me along my spiritual path are Louise Hay (You Can Heal Your Life), Doreen Virtue, and Shakti Gawain (Creative Visualization). I am so grateful for these wonderful and inspiring women who have dared to dream and are shining lights for others in this earthly realm.
