I love talking a walk on a Sunday, especially when it’s a little bit chilly and everything feels so fresh. So I put on my Russian style faux fur hat to keep my ears and head warm, and off I went! I walked from Newlyn to Mousehole, and back again. Walking as quickly as I could, which was easy as it was pretty cold! I must get myself some gloves, then I will be super toasty! I could see boats on the sea, and the golden light of the sun casting it’s magical light over St Michael’s Mount in the distance was enchanting. I also noticed some of the more hardy plants and flowers including the beautiful bright yellow Gorse that grew in abundance along the path.
Whenever I do this walk it always makes me think about the story of the ‘Mousehole Cat‘, which is based on the legend of a Cornish fisherman, and tells the tale of a cat who goes with its owner on a fishing expedition in rough seas.
Then I saw a poster for a production of it, so I might just pop along to see it.
